Romania: Bechtel interested in Unit III at Cernavoda project
11:40 - 24 May 2005 - US corporation Bechtel has informed the Romanian authorities of its interest in building Unit III at the Cernavoda nuclear-electric power station, a project estimated at one billion dollars. Indeed, Bechtel has made it very clear that it wants to become involved as general contractor. However, Economy and Trade Minister Codrut Seres said that Bechtel has been offered the opportunity to become investors in the project management company, which will handle the construction of Unit III at Cernavoda.
