Signing up to the Charter and Code in France
===================================
The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) – France's foremost public research organisation – officially signed up to the principles of the European Charter and Code of Conduct for Researchers at a high-profile ceremony which took place in Brussels, on 16 December 2005, in the presence of EU Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik. This came shortly after the adoption of the Code and Charter by the French Conference of University Presidents. The rest of the French research community is expected to follow suit in the very near future.

Bringing on the talent in Italy

Slovak Rectors' Conference sets the pace in Slovakia

The Slovak Rectors' Conference officially signed the European Charter and Code of Conduct for Researchers at a high-level seminar, held in Bratislava, on 10 November 2005. The event brought together many of the key players in the Slovak research community and is expected to lead the way to the adoption of the Code and Charter by other major research bodies in the near future.

Improving links between education and research in Switzerland
