The Delegation of the European Commission in Romania launched today, at the Infoeuropa Centre, the "Discover Europe" contest, dedicated to children in gymnasium (5th and 6th grades). This way, the "Discover Europe" castle, already known amongst kids through the webpage with the same name, is getting out of the virtual world in order to open its gates for the ones eager to find out interesting things about the European Union, and to participate in interactive activities, inspired by its rooms full of surprises.
The "Discover Europe" programme is based on the www.descoperaeuropa.ro website, that was launched in June 2005 by the Delagation of the European Commission in Romania. Untill now, the website has received over 4000 visitors every month, and it is both an information instrument for gymnasium children and a teaching resource for their teachers.
