The PROJECT MANAGER Main responsibilities: Reporting to the Country Office
Director, the Program
Manager has the following main responsibilities: §
Preparation and implementation of
environmental projects having a national or European scope and
addressing the
needs of REC’s key beneficiaries: governmental administration, local
municipalities, NGOs and business sector; §
Identification of new project opportunities
in the context of EU accession process. §
Establishment and maintenance of positive
relations with governmental institutions, key donor organizations,
NGOs,
businesses, local authorities. Ideal
candidate’s profile: ·
Minimum
five years of work experience, preferably on a project basis in one of
the
following fields: environmental financing and investment planning,
energy
efficiency, waste management, nature conservation and rural
development, environmental
management systems, environmental safety (e.g. related to
radioactivity); ·
In-depth
understanding/ experience with EU institutions, programs and policies
and
accession process; ·
Solid
organizational and project management skills, including budgeting ·
Ability
to work in a multi-cultural environment and be a team player ·
Excellent
knowledge of English language coupled with very good communication and
negotiation skills; ·
Working
experience with Romanian governmental institutions and donors of at
least 2
years is preferred; ·
University
degree in a relevant field. If you
