Joining a project- Competitive Calls (Calls by projects) The EU's Sixth Framework Programme for research and development (FP6) includes new instruments for research funding: Integrated Projects (IPs) and Networks of Excellence (NoEs). During their initial negotiation with the Commission, IPs or NoEs may reserve a portion of the project budget for specific tasks to be carried out by a new contractor or contractors, who will join the consortium at a later date. New partners will be selected from proposals submitted in response to a competitive call. For organisations interested in joining ongoing FP6 projects, the competitive call announcement will be published on CORDIS, with a link to the website of the project. The project consortium will publish all necessary documentation and background information on their website.
