I figure first thing I'll start porting across is the hooks structure,
so that python code can start hooking itself into the system at various
junctures.
Is there at all, anyway to rename a command? I can register and
derigister. But if I deregister from inside python, the python code
doesnt have anyway of re-registering that external command under a
diferent name. (This is for use in extending other modules via python)
