A few of the most important issues you will encounter follow:
- understanding OO
- interpreting the models, and translating them into the next set of
artifacts (ex. design model to code).
- adopting a process, and establishing UML's relation to this process.
Also, I'd recommend to start small. Attempting to utilize UML throughout all
phases of the lifecycle may overwhelm people.
There are many other issues. But planning for each of these will contribute
to success.
