Yes, Gregg.
I have only one overall Rose model and at least 4 .cat files (for Use-Case
Model <my system>, Analysis Model <my system>, etc.)
Also from these 4 (sub-)models packages/subsystems will be split off in
again different .cat files, etc.
So, one person on the project will have a number of .cat files checked out
for writing, and the overall model (.mdl) plus some other interesting .cat
files checked out for read-only (Get Latest Version function in a CM tool)).
Only on some occasions the "Use-Case Model <my system>.cat" or the "Analysis
Model <my system>.cat" etc will be checked out for writing. E.g. only when
you want to create a package or subsystem within that (sub-)model. But after
creation of that package/subsystem you will check it in again, and have only
the newly created package/subsystem checked out for writing (and the
Use-Case, Analysys, Design or Component model for read-only).
Hope this helps,
Dik
