My basic need is to model the navigation flow of a web application from an analysis perspective. I'm not worrying (right now) if it's design with frames or not and if it's implemented in PHP, ASP, JSP/Servlet, XML/XSL. I'd just like to picture the web site 's navigation flow from a user 's perspective. Conallen's "profile?" doesn't come handy for this. I'm incline to use an activity diagram for such modeling. That way I can show transition from one page to another, branching (such as if user is not autentified she is forwarded to the login page; if the search results is exactely one the user is forwarded to the detail page otherwise forwarded to the result list). Similar things could be done with Conallen's "profile" using OCL, but it seems un-natural or am I missing something big ? What's your thoughts on this? Thanks Alain.
