Hi,
I do not know how this problem is solved in Clearcase, but I have some
experience with using Rose with VSS. Branching and versioning is quite
painful process, indeed. That's because Rose (or VSS) embeds VSS's
project path (e.g. $/projectname/model) into MDL files. So once you
create a shared project and than branch it, you have to update your MDL
files manually (in text editor) to correct the paths (to let's say:
$/projectname10/model).
If anyone would have better solution to this, I would be very glad to
hear it.
