I have a question concerning importing models from legacy tools. We (Thales Naval Systems) have a large amount of information models (Entity-Relationship-based) built using the tool Teamwork (developed by Cadre, which became Cayenne Software, which became Stirling Software, which later became Computer Associates). We are now moving to UML modelling and Rational Rose; however, we would like to find a way to import some information from our legacy models into Rose. Of course, this step is only the first step in the conversion process, as there are semantic differences between UML and ERDs. We were thinking first of a possibility to translate the format which Teamwork generates into a format which Rose can import. Does anyone know of any company which has developed or performed such a conversion tool? Jacek Skowronek Unclassified e-mail
