Rose is excellent for developing a basic schema. It is very easy to
use. The area I found it lacking is the files produced by the data
modeller and their integration with Clearcase.
Oracle Designer gives the user much more control over the database
schema. It is far from user friendly. Painful in fact.
We are coming to a point where we must decide whether to use Designer
to add features to the schema that Rose can't or hand code them.
