Just for interest, I checked up on this particular defect. You can save
your write-only portions of the model from the Browser, but I would be the
first to admit that this is not an ideal situation and the File->Save should
behave differently in that particular case and allow you to save the nested,
writable units if appropriate.

Checking back on the defect (and if you contact support, they will be happy
to report on the progress of your report) - it was created 3 days before
Christmas - assigned to development on the first working day of 2001 (we
traditionally take holiday over the Christmas and New Year period so this
would not have been worked on in that time), and was folded into the next
release - there has been a beta available for this release for some time now
which resolves this and other issues we found - and adds additional
functionality to Rose.

We do try very hard to make sure we fix problems when they occur, trying to
make sure they don't occur in the first place - and we do manage to release
a full Suite of products complete with integrations on multiple platforms
and backend databases at least twice a year (and patches in between as
required).

regards

anthony
