I have a large Rose 2001 model that needs to be printed on E size paper. I am using a HP DesignJet 750C. Rose produces a 75MB print file for E size paper regardless of the number of objects in the model. When I try to print on E size paper, I get an error saying that there were print errors in the file and nothing gets printed. Other modeling tools produce print files for this device in the 850KB range for the same model and are printed on E size paper with no problems.
Using smaller sheet sizes produces a smaller print file and can be printed on this device. Obviously, an immediate answer is to print Rose models on smaller paper to keep the printer from "choking" on the large file. However, it is necessary for us to correct this problem so our Rose models can be used without having to move them to other software just for printing.
I use Rose 2001 Enterprise on Win NT 4 (SP6) connected via network to an NT server that spools print jobs to the device.
