Hi,
I haven't heard of any defined naming convention, probably because a
component is not a well defined element in UML and/or in Rose. In Rose a
component can be: an application (.exe-file), a library (.dll, .lib etc.), a
package body (usually a .cpp file), a package specification (usually a
.hpp-file), or even Visual Studio projects, etc. etc..
Hence the naming of components in the component view really depends on what
kind of component you are talking about. Given your example, I would recon
that you have a component representing your source-code file (.cpp, .java or
whatever), and that your component has only one class assigned to it. If so,
I would try to keep the same name on the component as for the class assigned
to the component (this is a general OO-/C++ naming convention).
Regards
Arne
