I've figured out some of the answers you are looking for:

Your CURDIR = & is set in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rational
Software\Rose\Virtual Path Map
So by exporting this key to an .rgs-file, this can be "installed" on all
machines with Rose :-)

The property-sets are stored in the "package" ModelProperties in the
Rose-browser. This package can be made into a controlled unit, and hence
seperated into a .cat-file on its own. By importing this into any new model
you create, you should be able to retain a common set across models. Where
the default ModelProperty-file (which Rose uses to build a new model file, I
don't know).
