Hi,
I've just recently started using Rose again (2001 version) and am wondering
what on earth has happened with the report generation in it. I seem to
remember a wonderful feature available in Rose 97 (I think) that allowed
you to produce documents in Word (for example) format. This would include
title pages, table of contents, sections for each part of the model and
classes, list off all documentation for attributes and operations and
include all the relevant diagrams too. All in a nice Word document that
could be given to customers and internally for review. I can't find this
anywhere any more, and its replacement seems to be the Web Publisher, which
from what I've done with it (small models) is flakey to say the least and
still has a very long way to go before it is worthy of being used
seriously. Why this feature has been removed is beyond me - going from one
file being sent around the place to x-thousand HTML and image files needing
to be distributed.
Can someone please tell me why this feature has gone, and is there any way
of getting it back because management here where I work are screaming for
the Word-style documents and we can't give them any without spending weeks
producing a document that Rose used to be able to produce automatically in
a few minutes.
Cheers,
