Hi there,

I don't think there is an error here. Objects that you put in a sequence
diagram are instances of classes (We could say that the object is of the
type of the class). This is indicated  by the colon before the name and that
it is underlined. So, it is normal that you can have multiple objects of the
same class in a diagram.
When you rename the object, if you change the 'type' (what is after the
colon), you change the name of the class, so all instances of that class
have their type changed. And when you press Ctrl-D, you probably delete the
class itself, so all instances are also removed.

It's the explaination I see to your problem, but I may be wrong.

Hi olaf, I had been told this problem was solved in New versions, isn't it? 
I'm using RR 2000. I didn't found a solution to the problem. I just re-wrote

the method from scratch.
I have the feeling the problem was in the ctrl-C and paste operation but I'm

not so sure.
