What version of Rose are you using. In the later Rose releases (Rose 2001, 2001A)
you can do a Tools->Options, look under
the Diagram tab and select the 'Name and Type' option in the 'Message Signatures'
radio button group. This will cuase the
message signatures to be displayed on sequence diagrams.
