I don't know whether you mean the "extends" is the dependency or the inheritance. I
think the usecases being inherited is abstract usecase and should not have sequence
diagram as its implementation. As for the extends dependency, you would better read
the RUP document, which pointed out that the usecases extending other usecase usually
add more optional steps in the base usecase' workflow, to enhance it/to add more
meaning/ to provide more choices/ to detail it some other information...?
Dependency related two usecases should have some relations in its
realization(sequence or collaberation diagrams). But it is not detailed in RUP. Could
anyone else express more about this?
