Okay, that is the problem, I do NOT want to model a template class.
I have a template function within my class. Actually the application is to model a singleton class, but the class provides a parametrized function. The class cannot be paramatrized, however the function has to deal with different types. How do I model this in UML or Rose???. Thank you for any responses, Marcus Sorry, I'm only using 2000e. In 2000e, the enty for "Formal Arguments" in describing a template class is under the class's Detail tab. If they moved it in 2002, I don't know where they moved it too. I actually searched in "Class Specification"->"Operations Tab" -> "Operation Specification"->"Detail" I have no such thing as "formal argument list". The class is defined as Visual C++ class. An example would be the UML Representation of class x: class x { public: template< typename a, typename b> void yfunc(a r, b s){ doSomething(); } }; I am quite aware of the possibility of using templatized classes, however class x shall not be modeled as a template. thank you for any help, Marcus ************************************************************************ * Rose Forum is a public venue for ideas and discussions. * For technical support, visit http://www.rational.com/support * * Post or Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subscription Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Archive of messages: * http://www.rational.com/support/usergroups/rose/rose_forum.jsp * Other Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To unsubscribe from the list, please send email * To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subject: <BLANK> * Body: unsubscribe rose_forum ************************************************************************* ************************************************************************ * Rose Forum is a public venue for ideas and discussions. * For technical support, visit http://www.rational.com/support * * Post or Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subscription Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Archive of messages: * http://www.rational.com/support/usergroups/rose/rose_forum.jsp * Other Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To unsubscribe from the list, please send email * To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subject: <BLANK> * Body: unsubscribe rose_forum ************************************************************************* ************************************************************************ * Rose Forum is a public venue for ideas and discussions. * For technical support, visit http://www.rational.com/support * * Post or Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subscription Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Archive of messages: * http://www.rational.com/support/usergroups/rose/rose_forum.jsp * Other Requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To unsubscribe from the list, please send email * To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Subject: <BLANK> * Body: unsubscribe rose_forum *************************************************************************
