Hello again,
1. Check to see if MS SourceSafe has been registered as a valid
"SourceCodeControlProvider" by checking the Registry at:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider
Value: ProviderregKey = "Software\Microsoft\SourceSafe"
If not (which would be pretty rare), then re-install the SourceSafe
module.
2. If the above is confirmed AND Rose still doesn't see it, then this could
possibly be as a result of installing SourceSafe after
Rose; un-install and re-install Rose.

i had installed visual source safe before rational suite, but my problem
