Hello Tara,
In the defaultstereotypes.ini file (located in the rational install dir\rose), you should get the following: DependencyRel:refine DependencyRel:extend DependencyRel:include DependencyRel:derive Association:extend Association:include Association:communicate Association:subscribe Association:realize and [Association:extend] Item=Association Stereotype=extend [Association:include] Item=Association Stereotype=include [Association:communicate] Item=Association Stereotype=communicate [Association:subscribe] Item=Association Stereotype=subscribe [Association:realize] Item=Association Stereotype=realize [DependencyRel:extend] Item=DependencyRel Stereotype=extend SmallPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\small\dependency_extend_s.bmp SmallPaletteIndex=1 MediumPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\medium\dependency_extend_m.bmp MediumPaletteIndex=1 ListImages=&\stereotypes\list\dependency_extend_l.bmp ListIndex=1 ToolTip=Extends a use case\nExtend use case [DependencyRel:include] Item=DependencyRel Stereotype=include SmallPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\small\dependency_include_s.bmp SmallPaletteIndex=1 MediumPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\medium\dependency_include_m.bmp MediumPaletteIndex=1 ListImages=&\stereotypes\list\dependency_include_l.bmp ListIndex=1 ToolTip=Includes a use case\nInclude use case [DependencyRel:derive] Item=DependencyRel Stereotype=derive SmallPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\small\dependency_derive_s.bmp SmallPaletteIndex=1 MediumPaletteImages=&\stereotypes\medium\dependency_derive_m.bmp MediumPaletteIndex=1 ListImages=&\stereotypes\list\dependency_derive_l.bmp ListIndex=1 ToolTip=Derives a use case\nDerive use case You should get an icons in the toolbar for the dependencies if you go to the customize toolbar menu). I have checked the defaultstereotypes.ini files that comes with the Rational Rose 2001A CD-ROM and it includes them. I hope this will help you. (I have searched both the forum archives and Rational's "Solution Knowledge Base" to no avail). I have just upgraded from Rose 2000e to Rose 2001a. In 2001a I can no longer specificy a relationship between use cases as "includes". It is simply not in the list of stereotypes in the association specification. I'm assuming that this means that there are stereotypes missing. I remember when rolling out 2000e we needed to install an additional defaultstereotypes.ini file in order to access the UML business stereotypes, but I was under the impression that these were now standard, and thus, included in 2001a. Any clues? Thanks! Tara.
