I apologise, firstly for not being more precise in my original question and secondly for Eric's e-mail being rejected.
Firstly, this is purely a Rose question, and concerns focus lines on the lifeline of an object in a sequence diagram. I show an object activity starting with an incoming message to its lifeline. This starts a focus line on the object lifeline. When the object is finished it sends a 'completed' message and goes idle. Unfortunately the focus line continues past the completed message almost to the end of the lifeline. I can see no way of terminating the focus at the 'completed' message, which to me would indicate 'end of activity'. When I resize the focus to where I want it, it bounces back to the bottom of my diagram. If I ever do manage to get it near correct, focus lines inevitably move upon saving and reloading the model. Sometimes they'll move simply by zooming the model on the screen. I need to be able to do this for demonstrating activity to business folks. I need to show that employee 'x' starts work when the hooter goes of and finishes work when the the hooter goes off again. I draw my sequence diagram and it shows employee x doing loads of overtime, because he's still working after the second hooter. As to the 2nd matter, seeing as how my email contains 50% spam every day, my email provider spams me themselves and their email system generally ignores my rules for filtering email, all I can say is that 'Eric you really must be a special case'.
