Select all the model elements that you want to move and do Edit->Cut. Go to a diagram that belongs to the target package and do Edit->Paste. Now, relocate the lot to their new package by doing Edit->Relocate.
That's it. Oh, well, not quite. If you are doing this with a lot of model elements, save your model first. If you make a mistake or get a crash in mid-move, at least you won't have lost anything. It's much easier to reload the model than to try to undo the changes.
