Relax Eddie.

 

Om's post was a simple reminder to be careful about who you share information with.  It was a TIMELY response to an anonymous user asking people on one of the lists this morning to share their ClearQuest URLs, Logon ID's and passwords.

 

Yes it would be stupid of someone to actually share that info with anyone who asks.

 

But it's even dumber to jump all over Om's case for nothing.  Take your own advice regarding that pill.

Soooo, who should determine who the 'genuine users' are.  You, perhaps?  This user forum and the others like it are like Linux, 'Open Source to be shared with and benefit ALL'.  If someone trying to 'help' you requests access to your system and you are stupid enough to give it to them, well then....  If someone sends a request for information and someone else is willing to send a reply, what does it matter if they are current licensees or not.  What if you were between jobs and were just trying to brush up or improve your knowledge?  We don't need police officers in here, just common sense.  Any information regarding the tools is NOT sensitive and anyone that's not a half-wit should be able to ask the question in such a way that doesn't reveal anything 'sensitive'.  I say take a chill pill man.
