The Unisys XMI tool tends to lend itself to more of a batch approach whereas the REI allows more a more interactive integration.  With the XMI tool, the user has to generate the XMI file, then you have to run the program that parses and extracts the file.  With the REI, the user select the functionalilty from a menu where the RoseScript or COM server could perform the extraction based on the selected items.

So which one is the best?  It really depends on what you're trying to do, the user interaction you expect and the control over integration you want.  With the REI, you tend to have more control.  Additionally, the REI can also programmatically create diagrams.

Subject: (ROSE) Best Way to access Rose Informations?

I know that there are two ways to access Rose Information.

The first one is by using the REI interface.

And the second one, using the unysis XMI tool.

What is the best one?

I need to collect Rose informations to communicate with an other tool.

Thanks in advance.
