Something that's been niggling me for many years, concerning
the class diagram in Rose.

Why is there two 'display attributes' settings on the class
options menu?

One turns the display of the attributes on and off, the other
turns the attribute display compartment on or off. The niggling
thing is, why would Rational go to so much trouble to implement
what appears to be an almost useless festure. (I can see the
usefulness in displaying the attributes or not displaying the
attributes, but whether the empty box is displayed or not - is
this really important?)

It has just dawned, that just maybe that was not the original
intention. Afterall look at the name of the command, 'show ALL
attributes'. This suggests to me the option to display or not
to display inherited attributes in the class (see SoDA for
justification). This option is not available in Rose (TTBOMK).

Surely this would be a much more useful option. I certainly
want this option, right now.

So what do you think, would it be useful to have to option to
display inherited attributes in your class?

Les.

P.S. Similarly for operation displays too!
