This is the Amazon.com review, look at the last line: "Caveat: the set uses the episodes as they were shortened for syndication, not the originally broadcast versions that were 2-3 minutes longer." Seems pretty authorative, unfortunately. Judging from the customer 'reviews' a LOT of fans aren't happy. Seems a lot of people are writing to Anchor Bay. I wonder would a new petition do any good?
