I finally sorted this ioctl thing out. It was ALSA.
I won't bore you with all the details, but it was some kind of arcane cruft problem. Probably something with the switch from 0.9.0rc6 to 0.9.3a. I sorted all that shit out by compiling a new, virgin kernel with a new set of modules, and everything seems to be behaving. I hated to leave my trusty old kernel behind though. I ran that thing for ages, and it never stumbled. -- Michael McIntyre USDA zone 6b in SW VA, USA Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux Druid ----------[ registered Linux user #243621 ]--------- http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/index.html ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: eBay Get office equipment for less on eBay! http://adfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/ck/711-11697-6916-5 _______________________________________________ Rosegarden-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] - use the link below to unsubscribe https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/rosegarden-devel
