Hi Ron,

We can start discussing them straight away now that 0.9.1 is out.

I notice the JACK list is still going strong on the JACK transport issue
so let's assume we can catch up with that later on when perhaps it's
stabilised. JACK master should be easy enough to drop back in when it's
stabilised but I stopped supporting a couple of months ago when changes to
the API without warning broke RG's implementation of JACK transport.

RG already has the infrastructure in place for enabling MMC and MTC and JACK
transport - MIDI clock is already supported in a master mode to a certain
extent and when I last tested it I could start/stop/sync remote MIDI devices.
As to the next stage - well perhaps MIDI clock in is a start (I know in Logic
there's a "clock in" button that turns the tempo ruler red and allows external
clocking of the sequencer).

I've looked at MMC support and it seems pretty straightforward (in terms of
messages) but I'm wondering what a good subset of features is to have (as the
MMC "API" is pretty big). MTC I've not really looked at at all yet.

Rosegarden CVS can be found from the instructions at:

http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=4932

cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/rosegarden login

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/rosegarden co rosegarden

I think I'll update our download section on the web page to make these instructions
a little more obvious. We don't usually release tarballs that often so CVS is
definitely the way to keep up with any changes we'll discuss on this list.
