Works very nicely and is a trivial change but for the fact that it looks
like it's leaking huge amounts of memory every time I create a new document.
It does completely get rid of the grey screen though - and you just get
the *whump* as the new one is shown. That's bearable though.
So to see if this new stuff was really creating this "leak" I tried creating
new docs and loading files with the existing initView/delete m_view code and
that looks like it's leaking loads of memory too.
Or am I dreaming it and it's not a leak? Loading big documents, closing them
and then open small docs still appears to be growing the amount of memory
though and it ("rosegarden") can quickly get up to 80-90MB.
Anyway - to finish this rather rambling email on a rather rambling day I
then went back to confirm that these changes really do work and they didn't
appear to make any difference any more.. so I'll build from scratch and see
if that sticks.
