Hi,

I was making a .rgd file for my SC-88 (a Roland GS synth on steroids), but
i've found that its 2 drum banks have the same lsb/msb numbers than other
regular banks. It is not possible to define two banks with the same lsb/msb
numbers, right?

I want to have patch names for the drum sets, so i modified by hand the .rgd
file, and added the drum set names to the banks. Surprise: it is possible to
have duplicate patch names for the same patch number ;-)

This is not a solution, and has ugly effects. Although it is possible to
select the drum patch name in the instrument parameter's program list, the
track list shows only the first patch name found. For instance, the "standard
drums" has patch#0, like the piano patch. When i select the standard drums
in the instrument parameters, the track list shows "Piano". Furthermore, when
i select "Piano" in the parameter's program list, then switch to another
track, then return to the piano track, the parameter's program control says
"standard drums" ;-)

Of course, i will not commit this broken .rgd file yet. What i would like is
to have drum type banks, to hold the drum set patch names for drum tracks.
The drum type banks could have duplicate lsb/msb numbers with other non-drum
banks. What do you think?

Regards,
Pedro
