Indeed.  Have to "jiggle" it to get the name to stick.

Other than the problems you know about, I see...

copy/paste is wonky.

It looks like when I paste into the 0/0 [x] percussion bank it is filling the 
slots with strings from the 0/0 [ ] percussion bank.  Then when I jiggle 
things a bit, it updates and suddenly decides to display what's intended.

Weird problems trying to delete strings from slots too.  Delete, delete, 
delete, apply, and they're still there.  If I delete/apply delete/apply it 
seems more reliable.

Shit.  It crashed just when I had everything how I wanted it too.  Bummmer.

I wasn't in debug mode.  I'll play with it later.

Anyway, the basic concept is very much workable, and this is just what the 
doctor ordered.  Just needs some diddling.
