Mmm, wouldn't it work with simply a repeating segment holding just one note ?

BTW, you said you had removed the slice size code, but it seems to still be 
there. I suppose you have pending changes ? Also, I assume we can get rid of 
the playback latency parameters ?

OK. So how do we handle the payload through MappedEvents ? I suggest that 
prior to playing, we send the sequencer a list of files holding the sysexes' 
payload, each file being assigned an Id. Then each sysex MappedEvent holds 
that Id.
