Actually yeah, but not just one note - one note for each beat obviously
with the first note of the bar having the most prominent velocity.  But
yeah that'd make a lot of sense - when we remap segments can we do it in
isolation or does the whole composition get remapped at the same time?

I removed a lot of slice code from the gui but not all of it.  Leave it
with me and I'll tidy it up at some point.  And yes we still need some
latency values - we only remove one (the read ahead latency).

That's how we currently handle audio - so yeah that would make sense.
