I'm in the middle of doing a bit of work related to native printing, and when I've made a bit more progress with that, I suggest we go over the Lilypond export code carefully and see what should be done with it. I've just bought a printer (did you know Samsung printers actually advertise Linux compatibility on the box the printer comes in? And it works too) so I'm expecting to concentrate on printing one way or another for the next few weeks.
