Yeah, it has a few glitches still and a couple of missing features (there's supposed to be a page number but it doesn't fit on the page, and it still doesn't print a title at the top) but it's quite readable. One thing that puzzles me: You remember we had problems a while ago, when printing was first implemented, with parts of notes disappearing because they were being overlapped by other elements like flag pixmaps? (I assume you saw that effect too -- I certainly saw it on every attempt to print at the time.) It seemed that the masks weren't being treated correctly when copying from the QCanvas to the painter. Well, at the time I worked around it by passing the "double-buffer" flag to the copy-area call -- I don't know why that worked, but it did, although it slowed things down hugely. Anyway the other day I got pissed off with the slowness and tried taking that flag out again, and it worked fine -- no glitches. Do you think that's just something to do with the version of Qt? Should I do some more tests? Should I add the double-buffer thing back as an option? (I've been thinking I probably should.) Also I managed to run out of memory the other day because something was leaking memory on the X server, and I'm pretty sure it was something in the printing or (new) print-preview code. Haven't worked that one out yet either.
