On returning to the Linux world after a sojurn I notice that RG is incredibly sluggish compared to the nimble footed Windows apps I've been writing.
The bloated, debug strewn carcass is dragging me down. Suggestions about removing trace output and debug information please and getting some zip into our performance. Can we just disable the majority of the trace output with env vars or am I dreaming? I'll be running some tests and naturally doing some cachegrind as well but first and most obvious things first I think. Suggestions for speediness?
