Hi Chris,

It was a while since I tried VST stuff...but I'll comment some anyway.

Mmmm, maybe I should not speak about things I don't know...I was however under
the impression that vstserver would export an alsa-sequencer interface...
then it would be possible right?

Mmm, yes. I like many of the LADSPA plugs currently available...but they are
generally rather buggy and oftenly they are not what I'm looking for in a
plugin... I'm want stereo-plugs, working like their hardware counterparts.
This is something that VST plugs do very well, atleast they did back when I
did use them.
As for free VST plugins there are _lots_.

Good places to check:
http://www.kvr-vst.com/ and
http://www.mda-vst.com/
which should have most of it... searching in google for "free vst plugins"
generates LOTS of results.

If I should recommend one plugin that I particularily remember it would be the
NorthPole.
(which incidentally took me a while to find...this seeem to be it though
http://www.prosoniq.net/pub/freebies/pc/NPOLE.ZIP)
It's a sweeping resonant filter that can be applied to any mono(i think)
soundsource with very pleasing result :).
It has not the coolest gui around but it works!

/Robert
