My thoughts exactly. If it does really fix things though as well as being simple then I am for it. However bear in mind that controllers per device would involve some RG file munging as well. It may well be quite a bit more work than first appears. And there are a load of bugs to get done besides this. Wanna help out with the audio stuff? Looping for example is sloppy and audio cancel (on audio segment move or deletion) doesn't even work yet.
