I've been sorting the priorities of SF bugs and feature requests (at least of those assigned to me and some of the unassigned ones). I prioritised on the basis of when I think something should be fixed or implemented by, rather than necessarily how important it is -- i.e. something trivial may get a higher priority if it looks easy to fix, etc. I am using priority of 7 or over to mean "fix or implement this by 0.9.9 if possible", 5 or 6 to mean "fix by 1.0 please" and less than 5 to mean "we can probably tolerate this bug / lack of feature in 1.0, though documentation might be helpful". Note this will mean a FR with a priority less than 7 effectively becomes a post-1.0 feature, as there's supposed to be a feature freeze at 0.9.9.
