I used CAL a bit in the past. I even posted one of my CAL scripts here, not a 
long time ago, answering some message from you! ;-)

Did you tried Google? "Cakewalk CAL program" shows 8250 results. Some   
programs for free download. "Cakewalk CAL language" gives 4550 results, 
including good documentation and tutorials. Not big numbers, of course, but 
we are talking about a very specialized tool used by few people, anyway.

Actually, even RG4 is interesting for only a little minority. Musicians 
preferring classic notation using a MIDI sequencer, and composing music in 
Linux. That's not near the market share of Firefox, is it?

Even if we were only half a dozen using it in the world, I would take care of 
improve and use it. I enjoy this toy a lot.
