Well, we tried checking out the cvs (glasgow_pitchtracker branch), and running aclocal && autoheader && autoconf && automake &&./configure with automake 1.9 installed.
Hold on. You never tried make -f Makefile.cvs, or better, any of the xx_configure scripts in the scripts/ directory ?
I've no idea how you managed to build RG without these changes.
We've been building it for the past 5 years like all other KDE app developpers do : make -f Makefile.cvs && ./configure . It's the standard way to build a KDE app from a CVS tree.
