Attached is a patch which addresses the compiler warnings I receive for general C++ problems by GCC and KDE deprecated functions. In regards to the KDE I hope I updated them correctly to use the new functions. The C ++ problems stemmed a lot from converting or comparing different types (e.g. convert float to int, compare int to unsigned int).
Consider this a janitorial patch. If there any other janitor duties I will consider them. Right now I am still stuck on how to create a simple QT window that is displayed when a icon is clicked on in the main window. Its this new icon that I want to use to start my guitar tab editor. Stephen
