Old track-operations icons had one advantage, visualy. They were much

I agree with that, although I was never terribly keen on the old ones
myself (too chunky and in-yer-face). But the new ones look a bit
washed-out next to some of the icons with black outlines. They're next
to impossible concepts to illustrate in icons, I think, and these are a
decent compromise as far as they go.
OK! So far we have really great potential in this new set. Must say that
outline could improve look noticably.
I think you accidentaly overlooked main point - inconsistancy between old
ones and new ones - What happened to the arrangement of segments in icons?
Matrix and percussion editor icons are great with just about too
obvious grid's gray. But, that's the metter of taste. Shadow could be
more intensive under the drum-sticks.
Yes, the drumsticks could be crisper and clearer. I would rate that a
pretty low priority though, as these icons are a big improvement
overall.
Yes, they are. I wanted to spread that positive feeling on new icons,
beside all the critics written down. Don't get me wrong..!
These need outline, too.
Mixers definitely need redrawing.
Uh, why? I like the mixer icons. I certainly wouldn't support
redrawing them just for the sake of it, unless you have something very
particular in mind.
We wanted antialiasing of old icons... That's what I ment saying "redraw".
// redraw - we're about to score
// redesign - we missed the concept totally or we did it really, really
clumsy - IMHO
Solo to be redesigned along with play/pause.
You've got me puzzled with both of these as well. I think the new Solo
is good, although it still has some scruffy grey pixels around the
edges in places. What would you have in mind for that?
Damn, I guess "redesign" is hard word. Font used for "S" is problem, it
just doesn't fits there (beside rounding pixels, as you pointed).
play-rectangle is not big enough to look like intended accent nor
small enough to fit in nearby icons' form.
I sort of see what you're saying there, but I can't agree -- I think
it's about right.
I disagree with you. It looks clumsy to me. We really need to make this
one more obvious -- by turning it into some kind of (olive?!) green,
perhaps; changing size if it..?!
Metronome and loop need some more tweaking.
Loop we're all agreed on. Metronome I think (as with the others) needs
the grey lines cleaned up at top and bottom but I think it's good
otherwise.
I agree with you in which way metronome tweaking should be going.
This is not clear to me. What do you think should be done to loop?
Basicly, it looks fine with me -- just another fine pixel-polishing would
have the work completed.
