You do know that the DSSI plugin GUI protocol also works for LADSPAs? You can already supply custom plugin GUIs for LADSPAs in Rosegarden and other DSSI hosts (including the reference jack-dssi-host) that way. I can explain further if you aren't familiar with how this would work. It would be great to see a generic DSSI plugin GUI that provided one a selection of Qt Designer-created files based on the DSSI or LADSPA plugin label. This has come up several times on the DSSI lists, and I've almost sat down to write it myself on various occasions -- it's probably only a couple of hours of concerted effort in theory, but you know how these things work out.
