Whoah.  It worked as expected under Debian, but you say there's no way the 
fact that it isn't working under Fedora could be some sort of system setup 
issue, and instead you want us to change code to fix problems that only two 
people, both people in the same geographic region, have ever reported?

Can you see why I remain skeptical?

(We have many Fedora users who are not reporting this problem.)

Perhaps you should state what version of the code you're looking at.
