After opening rosegarden everything is ok. I use the mouse to create segments
I can move them with mouse. Clicking on the timeline moves the playback
position head.
But when I press Shift key (not holding it, without any mouse click, just press
and release the shift key) it appears as I did not release it. Mous clicking
one the time line always sets
loop, and clicking on the segments always adds them to selected group. I can
observe
the same behavior with the Ctrl key. After starting rosegarden I press Control
(and release
it) and mouse clicking is always copying segments. So the keys acting is not
connected with
mouse clicking or moving. The program sees pressure of Ctrl and Shift but
cannot see
releasing them.
The whole situation has place only in main window. In the edit window shift and
mouse click
work as expected. Pressing Shift and Ctrl does not hang them forever. That is
why I try to
tell you there is a difference in treating such actions in rosegardengui and
editorgui.
Maybe it is worth to have a look at it. You will decide. I have tried different
sugestions with
setting the keyboard layout, I have installed the system only with US layout, I
have changed
from CCRMA fedora core 3 to 4, and nothing helped. I have changed to Debian
DeMuDi
and it worked fine even with my native keyboard layout, so it is not the
hardware problem. But I dont like Debian :)
If you have any questions, ask.
