Hmm. Well, I think pretty much all of the high-priority bugs remaining are either fixed or are only at such high priorities to remind us to look at them and do a slightly more detailed analysis before the release in case they happened to be easy to fix. We have at least two outstanding potentially-serious issues that haven't made it to bug reports or (yet) been reproduced by one of the main developers -- Eckhard's report about non-working MTC slave, and Emanuel Rumpf's report of non-playing DSSI synths (almost certainly not a duplicate of an old report, and he sent me some more trace output that I simply haven't had time to study yet). I am inclined to suggest we make at least the first RC despite these outstanding issues. What's the procedure for building a release tarball these days?
